My Pregnancy: 25 weeks and counting…

Is it wrong to be excited knowing I only have 15 weeks to go?  Maybe so, but it feels amazing to know I can say I have less than 4 months until I am no longer pregnant and am back the road to becoming my pre-pregnant self.  Bye bye heartburn, backache, and weight gain…Hello caffeine, long runs and my pre-pregnancy wardrobe.  As much as I already love my little growing Brickhouse, and know I will love her even more when she arrives, I’ve learned over the past 25 weeks that I am so not one of those girls who loves being pregnant.  If you are, kudos to you!  I envy you 🙂

Since I’m still having sleep issues, my workouts are happening earlier in the day and I love it! Driving to the gym in the dark isn’t exactly fun, but not being rushed and finishing early feels amazing!  By the time noon rolls around, I feel like I’ve accomplished so much and my outlook on the day and tasks at hand take on a positive vibe.  So to me, my early morning rise is really a blessing.  And, I might as well get use to it now because I can only imagine there will be plenty of early mornings in my future.

Even with my consistent back pain, I’m keeping strong with my 5 day a week workouts.  I’m still lifting and trying to slowly increase the weight I’m throwing up, which I’ve been cleared to do as long as the progress is slow and safe.  My leg workout has suffered slightly from my back pain, but I know any further tweaking could put me out for good, so I’m not risking it.  The possibility of bed rest freaks me out, so I’m going to do everything to prevent it!
Since we’re leaving for a long weekend in Palm Springs at the end of the week to celebrate David’s birthday, I decided I had to suck it up and buy a bikini that fit this expanding body (really just the three B’s – boobs, belly and butt). This can be summed up in one word … DEPRESSING! If you’re flat chested and love the idea of pregnancy giving you big boobs you won’t be disappointed. But, if you’re already big chested get ready for super giant boobs #keepingitreal. There are very few cute bikinis for DD’s and if these bad boys keep growing I don’t know what I’m going to do.

The remodel is finally coming to an end and our move date is on lock.  Paint complete, lighting and plumbing work done, appliances in, stucco finished, and concrete poured.  We’ll be in for a crazy five weeks ahead with doing the finishing touches like building the fence, landscaping and building the outdoor kitchen, but I know my “ahhhh” moment will come when the baby shower is over and we can finally relax.  Maybe I’ll just sit in the nursery and relax in the rocker for a bit 🙂

Cravings this week:
Guacamole (I have no idea why)
Strawberries (of course)
Peanut Butter (I gotta stop!)
