My Pregnancy: 22 weeks and counting…

Not that this makes any sense, but this week is slated to be super crazy, really fun, and extremely relaxing. But then again, what does make sense when you’re pregnancy hormones are high and volatile, when you’re trying to plan a killer party, you’re renovating a house, you’re working, and.. you’re trying to take a little time to get away to relax and unwind? You know the saying, “Go big or go home?” Well, David and I take that to a whole new level and like to put as much on our plates as possible whenever we can. I guess we secretly like the stress.

My workouts have been awesome this week! 5 days of solid cardio and lifting, although I have to admit, I am a little exhausted. I was a little nervous I wouldn’t be able to get in a workout on Friday because I would be in LA visiting my sister, but boy was I wrong! I mentally went into “Beast Mode” and decided to tackle the beautiful Hollywood Hills neighborhood my sister lives in. Tons of rolling hills and even a set secret stairs that would prove to be the death of me. I did a full hour walk (walked down hills), run (ran up hills) and stairs (dominated the secret stairway 6 times), then finished with bodyweight leg exercises in her driveway. When I finished I felt like a powerhouse…until the next day. OMG – I could barely move my legs hurt so bad. And for three days. The hills showed me! hahahaha

Our nursery design is officially complete as of this week, which is exciting! Since LA is a fashion hub, my sister and I spent a lot of time scouring fabric stores and made final decisions on nursery fabrics. Now we can begin having all the custom bedding made so it’s ready in time for Baby Brickhouse’s arrival. (I’ll snap pics when the nursery is all done!)
*Side note: apparently light peach is not a common fabric color. Orange – yes. Peach – no.

Before hopping on the train to head back to San Diego (have I ever mentioned how awesome it is to hop on the train and travel Southern California?) my sis and I bonded over my first 100% vegan meal. I had no idea we were going to a full vegan restaurant (neither did she) and by the time we were there we threw caution to the wind and gave it a go. Never again. It was disgusting! Soy Chicken Salad – No Gracias Amigo!

The week ended the best way possible – a relaxing getaway to Palm Springs. The weather was perfect and David and I finally had a chance to unwind and relax in the desert heat. While laying by the pool, the babes was busy moving about and we got our first glimpse of the movements from the outside of my belly. Shocked and excited, David and I made sure to get video of this millstone.

Here’s my belly poolside in Palm Springs.  It’s getting bigger and bigger every day!
